funny
okay, I just had the following conversation...
Me "what is the strength of this lotion?"
Her "It says quad, that is 5 times the regular strength."
And then later:
Me"when was the last time I was here"
Her "well, it doesn't really say. Oh here, pacifically, you were here on Wednesday"
This was an adult.
YIKES.

glimpse
I had a glimpse of what my life would be like sans Corey and Kennedy.
They have been at Ole Miss soccer camp so it is just me and Mac (7) and Emy (4). They are great kids, but they are only kids. Their conversation skills are limited, to say the least.
I have felt fine eating out lunch and dinner. No cooking.
I have also gained weight!
I have not gone to the gym, it seems like too much work.
I have fallen alseep on the couch at 8:00pm.
I am generally bored out of my mind.
oh yeah, and I haven't shaved my legs...what is the point?

summer
well, we are in full swing now... We moved ( a lot could be said about this if I could type faster and better) Corey dislocated his finger, and then I had to take him to MEA b/c he needed 7 stitches! Then we rushed off to the last soccer tournament, where we came home with 2 state champion teams (Kennedy's and Corey's U-17) Then we lived in a hotel for 2 days b/c we couldn't get into our house yet, then we finally moved in ...for 2 days before the kids and I left for South Carolina and Corey left for Dallas for another soccer tournament. We stayed in SC for 5 days and then my parents and I drove back (with a HUGE trailer of furniture) and began reconstruction on our house. My parents stayed for 2 weeks of painting, painting and oh did soemone say painting? Then 1 week of VBS and 1 week of cheer camp and off to Ohio. Even on vacation, we are busy... Corey flew to Oklahoma for 4 days and then the day he flew back I flew to Atlanta. So I am in Atlanta right now trying to be trained for my new job. I get in on Friday and then we will be able to vacation for about 5 more days before we go back to MS. Once back, Corey has basically 3 weeks of soccer camp and Kennedy is going to soccer camp and then Corey has to take Mac to Orlando for soccer and then (wait for it) Corey and I are going to Hawaii for our 15 year anniversary. I am so excited... I cannot even imagine a trip alone with my husband, and on a tropical island to boot.

what have I learned
Well, it has been a long time. A time of stressful plans. A time of wonderful growth. (wait did I just say wonderful)? ha
We are moving....to another house in Mississippi.
I have so wanted to write and say we are moving and the key being to another state. But that isn't "the plan" and so we are moving to anouther house. We have had our house fsbo for over 2 years and we just knew that when it sold, it would be the "right" time. How funny that I thought that meant we would move out of state. If you have read my blog for any amount of time, you would see the reasons why I want to move from this state. Some of you have tried to convince me that it is "like that everywhere". Sure. Well, I still want to move, but God doesn't. Let's see...who EVER wins that one? I guess you could think you are winning by moving regardless, but is that His ultimate best for you?
We believe that being here is His plan and therefore adapted (albeit begrudingly) by us.
So, we have a great new house! 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and TONS of space! We have been living in a 3/2 1400 sq ft home, so this will be a treat. But it needs tons of work, and good thing my parents are in the house fixing up business.
Kennedy has already been to more dances than I ever went to in my whole life. She is just a public school girl! (I was a small christian school girl!) I went to 2 of them and stayed the whole time at one of them. How funny is the 5th grade!? Hilarious!
So we have lots of traveling coming up! Yea! Lots of family and friends to visit. I am so glad to see everyone.
We are heading to Mobile this weekend to visit some friends who moved there last summer, it will be good to see them. (oh right and we also have a soccer tournament) We always have a soccer related thing going on wherever we go!
We move next Friday!!!! YIKES. We are getting a POD thing, so I will tell you how that goes.
I know this is so boring! Sorry!

good thinking...
It makes you feel that as a parent the most important thing you can do is love your kids, hold them and tell them you love them because, until we get to heaven, all we can do is
hold our palms over the wounds.
It is no coincidence that Jesus talks endlessly about love.
Free love.
Unconditional love.

quote
"Humans, as a species, are constantly, and in every way, comparing themselves to one another, which, given the brief nature of their exsistence, seems an oddity and, for that matter, a waste. Nevertheless, this is the driving influence behind every human's social development, their emotional health and sense of joy, and, sadly, their greatest tragedies. It is as though something that helped them function and live well has gone missing, and they are pining for that missing thing in all sorts of odd methods, none of which are working. The greater tragedy is that very few people understand that they have the disease. This seems strange as well because it is obvious. To be sure, it is killing them, and yet sustaining their social and economic systems. They are an entirely beautiful people with a terrible problem."

big yucky spider
Well, this is our spider who has made our porch her home! She looks scary, but is actually not posionous. She spins her web every morning and then it is gone at night. She has just lain a 1,000 egg sack thingy in the web, and now she is supposed to die. Only she has died yet. But when she does, I will kill the egg sack. I am not a violent person, just one who doesn't need 1,000 spiders in her home/yard/life.
